Emmy award winning filmmaker, photographer, and writer Katie Damien is from Asheville, North Carolina.
In 2007 Katie began writing short stories and articles for magazines. She holds multiple screen writing credits and one Emmy for writing.
Children of Dust and Fire is her first novel.
